Aggression Management and Effective Parenting of Teens

The Families in Action Component is a collaborative skill building approach designed to help parents and teens learn how to cope with the dynamic changes of teen development. Teens learn how to get along better with their parents, peers, and also ways to resist negative peer pressure. At the same time, parents learn how to support their child’s changing needs, how to increase communication with their child, how to be more involved in their child’s education, and how to give their son or daughter freedom within limits. JAC works with other CommuniCare programs and staff members, contract providers, Cumberland County Mental Health Center, and others to collaboratively bring trainers/facilitators together to provide this service.
